Costa Rica Beaches

When someone says, "Costa Rica" you probably think, "fantastic beaches!"

Warm waters year-round, an unparalleled tourism infrastructure, and limitless attractions spanning two coasts are the reasons Costa Rica's beaches rank among the best in the world. And since nearly two thirds of Costa Rica's borders are coastline, there are a whole lot of beaches to explore.

Costa Rica is an absolute paradise in matters of beaches. The coastline has a length of over 1800 km with a never-ending variety of beaches for any possible taste. There are rocky and stony beaches, sandy beaches with white, gray, bluish black, tan, and pink colored sand. From Playa Avellanas to Playa Vuelta del Sur, and any name in between, from the Pacific to the Atlantic / Caribbean, Costa Rica offers an almost infinite number of beaches for tourist enjoyment. Come to surf, swin, snorkel, SCUBA dive, or just relax in the warm, tropical sun.

Costa Rica sounds so Beautiful!! We would love to see a beach with pink colored sand. What gives it that hue? We'd love to see pictures of your trip, too. Let us know if you plan to share them within your blog.

Between the beaches and the hot springs, I need it BAD! Wish I had the time and money to go but I think it would be more enjoyed if I wait until January! Lou in Wisconsin :)

One of my dear friends is from Costa Rica! I've always wanted to travel there. I love the beaches and can't wait to compare them to the beautiful beaches here on Maui. How about more posts on the beaches - maybe a list of the top 10 beaches or something?
Thanks, Lori On Maui
