Costa Rica Luxury Hotels

My favorite hotel in Costa Rica is The Alta Hotel located in a beautiful suburb of San Jose.
If you are looking for a premium boutique hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica …. you are at the right place. Small, special, intimate, The Alta Hotel consists of only 23 units: 16 double rooms, 6 suites, and 1 Master suite.

The beautifully sculpted hotel cascades down the hill (Alto de Las Palomas) providing exquisite views of San Jose and the surrounding volcanoes and valley. The carved look melds different styles --- Spanish-Moorish medieval, countryside elegant --- into one graceful structure. The vaulted ceilings in the Paseo and wide stone stairway lead castle-like from the reclusive guest rooms to La Luz Restaurant, which is one of the best in San Jose.

Here is the hotel to begin your journey into Costa Rica's natural splendor, to relax after a business meeting, to enjoy your wedding or honeymoon, or to indulge yourself after days in the wild before departing for the nearby international airport. Alta Hotel is your luxurious home away from home.

I had a friend who went to Costa Rica for 2 weeks, came back and wanted to move there permanently. I guess I need to add it to my "visit list". Sounds too good to be true.

Wow, that must be quite a sight, to see an active volcano from the hotel you're staying in. Do you know how far is Lake Arenal from the hotel? Great information on your blog, thanks for sharing!

I have been to Costa Rica, it is a beautiful country. Probably, the best country to visit in Central America. The people are friendly and one thing you notice is that they don't have the abject poverty.
This is a fun site!

My favorite part of Costa Rica is the Monteverde Cloud Forest - I have never seen more species of butterflies or felt like I was flying myself on a canopy zipline -try it for yourself.
I've also heard that this is the next best place to retire to - lots of property for a little money.
